Congratulations, you have a new reflect client!

​We’ve compiled some information and instructions about onboarding a new reflect client after your intro session. Please read through and make sure that you follow the steps detailed below to ensure a smooth start of collaboration (and to ensure we can pay you too!).

What To know

  • ​reflect 1:1 sessions are standard, 50-minutes, therapy sessions.  Conduct them the same way you would your existing private practice sessions.  

  • As with any therapy, everything you talk about is completely confidential between you and the client, with the exception of a few limitations listed in the consent form.

  • reflect’s role is solely to help clients find the right match of therapist and streamline the scheduling and billing logistics. reflect will not be involved in or have access to any confidential session content or notes. Clients should not direct any clinical questions or share confidential information about the content of their therapy session with anyone besides their therapist (i.e., no reflect staff).

  • You will be responsible for keeping your own progress notes for patients.

Conducting the first session with your client

  • Please reach out to the client within 24 hours to welcome them and provide your office details. If you did not receive their contact details previously, please contact support@joinreflect.com 

  • Download and print the consent form, if the client has not already signed it (you will get an email if they've completed it before the session) 

  • Review the consent form (either electronically on your phone or printed out)

  • Please make sure the client has signed the consent form and credit card form via DocuSign

  • Use this time to explain about how you like to work with clients in general.  Some clients are new to therapy, and this is a great opportunity to help level-set, so they know what to expect

  • Agree to a time for your next session -- please log into Setmore to set up your appointment, so we can remind the client

  • You can also ask the client whether this time works for him/her on an ongoing basis.  If it does, email support@joinreflect.com, and we can set the subsequent appointments for the next 3 months

  • If they don't want to schedule right away, we will follow-up to help them schedule also.  They can also use your booking link (which they receive to book their first session) to book future sessions with you

We collect the payment on your behalf and pay you bi-weekly via a check, so there's no need to deal with that at the end of session (we're working on direct deposit and will have more details on that soon!)
